Structural insulated panels

Model in our relatively new building system technology has become the Structural insulated panels (SIP) originating in the USA tested sixty years of use. On its base it was created a building system used in our wooden houses, which has been certified according to the Czech legislation and harmonized European standards. SIP panels are prefabricated, versatile, simple and high quality building systems for the realization of wooden buildings.

SIP panel composition:

  • Panel thickness 170 mm
  • 2x OSB 1,5 cm
  • Polystyrene PPS 140 mm


Oriented Strand Board

is a high quality wooden board, which consists of 3 layers. These layers are oriented perpendicularly to each other. The upper and lower layer chips are stored in the machine direction and the intermediate layer (core) is placed in a transverse direction (perpendicular to the top and bottom layers). The laminated layers are at a particular temperature and pressure, the combined water-resistant resin. The production technology makes it possible to obtain a wooden board moisture resistant and without common errors. OSB board is based on a wooden base, which was developed especially for the construction industry. OSB boards are divided into types OSB / OSB to 1 / 4th The most common are the OSB / 3, which are suitable for use in a slightly wet environment (interior and exterior).

Properties of OSB board

  • good thermal resistance (Wood is a natural insulator)
  • large formats allow for fewer connections and thus fewer acoustic and thermal losses
  • fire resistance, depending on the OSB
  • resistance to shock and vibration
  • resistance to earthquakes and strong winds (verified in USA, California, Florida and Japan)
  • healthiness (EUP tested Praha)
  • excellent workability


Polystyrene material as perhaps do not even have a better idea. Its properties knows almost everyone and is commonly used in the construction industry. Cell polystyrene in its closed structure almost do not absorb any water. This occurs to some extent only in pores between particles mutually weldable foam. After drying, the return to its original form. Within a short time under the influence of the so-called developed demand. flame retardant polystyrene, which corresponds better to the requirements for fire protection of buildings. From a fire perspective it should be broad use in EPS sandwich structures between non-combustible materials.

The advantage of SIP is mandatory certification. Certification and surveillance of two independent institutions, thus Fires Batizovce fire certificate, and Testing and Research Institute n. o, based in Bratislava, guarantees consumers and investors prescribed properties of all elements of the system.


As the only company to have certified Slovak CE 1301 for SIP technology that we use. CE Marking (Conformité-Européene) is a hallmark of quality. This certificate is called an assessment of the product before launch European Economic Area. Certificate No. 1301 defines the region, which the certificate relates, in this case it’s building technology.

A few reasons to build this technology:

  • less concrete and foundation work, it means saving money 20 – 25 %
  • dry construction process, the possibility of mounting in any season
  • low weight of the panels, i.e. the low cost of transport and handling
  • large format panels, this implies fast construction
  • less wall thickness, which means more interior space (the house with an area of 150 square meters is the difference about 14 square meters, which gives you extra room addition)
  • for very good thermal insulation properties you the saving on heating costs
  • universal and variable use panels

Not negligible is also the effect of materials on the environment:

  • wooden sheath plates can be regenerated
  • core panel of EPS can be recycled
  • core panel has nutritional value, is immutable, it does not produce unwanted gases or any leachate
  • materials for the production of panels do not contain harmful chemicals

Thermal images a house

On one of our building we have left to do thermocamera images, whether in the construction there are any thermal bridges. The result is very positive – there were no thermal bridges, which shows the quality of materials and work performed.
